The Gut Stuff was founded in 2017. Having volunteered for twin research for Tim Spector, being at the forefront of scientific research into nutrition and the microbiome, co- founders Lisa and Alana Macfarlane discovered that despite being identical twins, with 100% the same DNA they only had around 30% the same gut bacteria. This could explain their completely different health pathways. At the time, research was uncovering links between the gut microbiome and everything from immunity to mental health. They used to be DJs (The Mac Twins), so couldn’t have been further from the health and wellness world, but as soon as they realised how big the gaps were in the industry, they became passionate about bringing this information to EVERYONE and thus our gut journey began. They believe gut health should be a right, not a privilege. They've grown an expert team around them to keep us all on the right side of the tracks when it comes to bullsh*t Vs the real sh*t! Their mission is to empower, inspire and educate so everyone can live that good gut life.

Good for on the go!
Received as a free sample from Ocado. I was pleasantly surprised when I had it at work for my second-breakfast!

Tasty
This bar tastes very nice and much nicer texture than many other healthy bars. Ingredients are good, however it is too sweet (10.7g) and more expensive than others.

Too sweet
I really don't like to leave negative reviews and wanted to like these but not a fan....too sweet and didn't like texture

Tastes a bit virtuous
I was sent this product for review. Its ok. A bit meh. Very coconut in texture - you can feel the fibre - and in flavour. I think Nakd and the Protein Ball Co do it better.

Tasty snack
I'm reviewing this because I was given a free sample from Ocado. I really enjoyed it, but I do really love coconut. It made a great snack but it seems rather expensive for the size.

Greatif you like coconut
I was sent these to review. They are okay, the coconut is very present and as Im not a fan of coconut I didnt really enjoy this.
