Love!

Just tried these for the first time and glad I did despite some bad reviews- they were so good just warmed in a hot oven- surprised how much I liked them! They taste like “fun food” rather than something relatively healthy (as they are with their minimal ingredients, and no sugar- unlike the other ones in this range). So pleased to have tried them.

Taste and texture like pinto beans and rice

Offered this on flash sale and decided to give it a try. I thought this was one of those fake meat things, but it's not. So please don't compare to meat. I am Mexican. I cooked it in the microwave as a post night out small meal before bed and I found this to have a taste and texture that is fairly similar to Mexican style pinto beans and red rice. To be clear - its like pinto beans and red rice that have been mashed together into little bricks. Looking at the ingredients, it makes sense. Definitely recommend as a convenient source of protein, especially if you're trying to cut back on meat.

Bought this in an attempt to make healthier and meat free choices. Really wanted to like but the taste reminded me of fried insect larvae that I ate in china. Not for me
