Interesting flavour
I found this really interesting mix of flavours, you can definitely taste the citrus coming through from the lemon pulp and it gives it a very clean taste compared to some chilli sauces - it goes well with fish particularly because of it - but I can see how it isnt an all-rounder sauce because of that. I don't think i'd use it to jazz up burgers or pizzas for example because of the citrus flavour. I did enjoy it, and it definitely has its place, but it wouldn't be my default standby.
not much heat
Tasted a bit tomatoey for my liking
Possibly the "least nice" chilli sauce
This tastes like red chilli flakes in malt vinegar. I was surprised how well it's been marketed! Suitable for a very simple palate, sorry.
Ok
Ok sauce, but spicy enough for us
Recipe needs work... too acidic.
I’m reviewing this product because I got a free sample from Ocado. Taste is too acidic... almost chemical. Texture is OK.
Yum Yum
I am reviewing this as I very kindly received a free bottle and I'm so glad I did. This is something I would never have thought to purchase but I will definitely re buy once it has run out. It's really lovely, it has the right amount of heat and 'tingly' is a perfect way to describe it. So far I have tried it in fajitas and other wraps and also with falafels. It's also perfect to mix with mayonnaise to make your own 'perinaise' It's a 10/10 from me, thank you Ocado for introducing me to this amazing sauce.
