just plastic sandwich bags not toastiebags

Im sure these are great sandwich bags but when theyre called Toastabags I kinda expected to make toastiest with them - read the small print everyone! I didnt

Very useful and eco friendly.

Love these bags. Not too big but big enough for a decent sandwich or for the items I split down from bigger packs and keep in the fridge. Being semi transparent its fairly easy to see contents. I agree its daft to add the outer plastic bag when we buy them for their eco qualities-the manufacturer uses cardboard, its only ocado adding plastic . Id say they are quite sealed enough to travel in the ordinary delivery carriers without additional wrapping but at least thats still less than using single use plastic bags for the same job. If I need something more durable I use one of these as a liner to turn an outer single use bag into a multiuse one. I find it gets messy trying to wash and reuse the plastic ones so it creates an added saving on the plastic. Also I use the dirty eco bags for odds and ends that go into the food recycling bin. This acts as an added deterrent to flys and the even more problematical fruit flies, especially in the hot months. They love the food bins!

stop wrapping them in plastic

Its now late Sept 2021 and Ocado still hasnt listened to feedback from earlier reviews and stopped wrapping this (perfectly fine) product in non-recyclable plastic. Stop doing it. Theres no need.

Very handy

I love these bags. I also use them to keep face masks in my handbag clean and non-germy(ish) until I need to use them. I used to feel so bad using plastic bags, which only adds to the waste involved.

Loving These

Tried paper bags but they did not keep sandwiches fresh. If these are truly biodegradable then I feel I am doing a small bit for the world. Expensive and annoying dispensing packaging.

Bags are fine but Ocado sends them in plastic

These bags are absolutely fine and do the job but Ocado sends them to me each time in a thick plastic sealed bag that needs to go into landfill. What is the point of me spending over the odds for these compostable bags when Ocado do this??? I have called Ocado each time to tell them not to send them like this and they still do. Last time I will buy them from here.
