Twinings English Breakfast Tea, 50 Tea Bags 50 per pack
£3.50
7p eachProduct information
It's a tea with a lot of body and a light finish.
Where does it come from?
We get to visit tea gardens all over the world to find the best teas for our English Breakfast. Full-bodied Assams picked during the summer months go perfectly with the fresh taste of high quality African teas. Our next stop is the beautiful Sri Lankan highlands, for tea leaves that add a real depth of flavour to the blend. A worthwhile journey for a truly great cup of tea.
What makes this tea different?
We only use high-grown Ceylon in our English Breakfast for the full depth of flavour.

The journey from the tea garden to your cup...
When it comes to tea we're a little different from everybody else. The way we buy and blend is unique; we choose from more origins than anyone else and have a master blender dedicated to each of these locations. What they don't know about their tea gardens and where to find the best quality, isn't worth knowing. It is said that 7 is a lucky number, for us it's the number of times the master blenders taste each batch to make sure that the quality from its exotic origin reaches your cup.
With your support, Twinings helps provide access to clean water for villages across Darjeeling, helps improve mother and baby health in tea growing regions of Yunnan and helps improve health and nutrition in tea communities in Assam.

Weak
Weak tea...need to use two bags to get a decent cuppa!
delicious tea
My husband is an avid tea drinker and tried lots of brands and products. This one from twinings is top of his list!
Outer packaging needs a re-design
For those who have commented and for those who are wondering why the 'new' packaging is such an unmitigated disaster an official source within Twinings has thrown some light onto the matter. During a drive to cut down on costs a decision was made to retain tea quality at its current level but to cheapen the packaging. Consequently, a re-design challenge was tendered, not to the traditional packaging design companies whose fees are astronomical but to selected children's nurseries. It's just a pity that the selection process evidently went awry.
packaging change
Twinings - you change the box design and make it worse each time! Now the top opening box spills tea everywhere when open. Please go back to the original. I've changed brand its so bad.
Not As Good As It Was
I have used Twinnings E.B. Tea for years. Since the introduction of the yellow boxes the quality of the tea has changed. It makes a weaker pot of tea with the same number of tea bags used previously. Looking for an alternative as the flavour is now quite nondescript. Now overpriced for the quality.
be warned - the redesigned yellow box is useless
be warned if like me you don't have a tea caddy... the old black style box closed quite firmly keeping the tea fresh even once opened - but the newly designed yellow box won't reclose once you have torn the strip off to open the packet... luckily I still had the old style black packet here, so I just transfered the newly opened teabags across in to the older black box... you therefore may wish to do the same i.e. hang on to your old black tea box just in case you also get sent one of these new non recloseable yellow packets ...
