You’ll find it almost impossible to spend time in Abruzzo without
Montepulciano d’Abruzzo passing your lips. The locals don't quite wash their cars with it - it's far too nice for that - but they probably can't imagine having dinner without a glass of it either.

Tasting Notes
History
and olive groves in the Abruzzo region for more than half a century. The grapes are hand tended and harvested by local villagers in the cooler hours of the day, then spirited off to the winery as quickly as possible to achieve the distinctive fresh taste for which the Casimirris' wines are held in such high regard in the region.

great drinkable red wine
Great taste and brilliant if you just fancy a glass, rather than opening a bottle
Beautiful Smell and Great Finish
Great quality and recommended to friends. The packaging is just perfect for me to take only 1 glass or 2 per day and it lasts really well for 3-4 weeks now
My favourite Italian Red
A great Italian red at a really competitive price and being box wine you have a few weeks to finish once opened.
Bad batch?
This used to be a regular and dependable purchase. But the last few we have bought (in summer 2022) have been off. The bag swells, bursting open the cardboard box, and there's a long hiss of gas releasing on opening. The wine itself is slightly effervescent and tastes too sour to drink. Hopefully this will return to its previously excellent quality soon!
Fruity
Very fruity wine which was great for a week night glass or two. Enjoyable and easy drinking.
Handy packaging
Nice easy drinking red and the box packaging makes it perfect for if you just want a glass rather than to open a whole bottle.
