too bitter for me
Bought for a change from Lavazza, but found it very bitter and didnt enjoy. I use a stove top espresso pot, and have done for decades. The taste was a bit burnt though, not in a good way. Looking forward to getting to the end of the (small 200g) pack and reverting to my usual!
It's OK
Our coffee grinder is broken, so I needed to buy finely ground coffee. This coffee is OK, but it doesn't have the rich depth of flavour of our freshly ground beans from Peru.
Long time favourite
Love this coffee, brew it in a Bialetti Moka pot and it really hits the spot. Lovely rich malty chocolate flavour. Makes a great latte. Recommended!
Thought it would be better!
Brewed, with usual amounts, in our stove top espresso pot and after reading reviews, thought it would be amazing! Its fine, strong and flavoursome but I did find a bitter aftertaste. I prefer a couple of the Waitrose 1 (strength 4) ground coffees which have lovely flavours...personally!
Nice espresso
Bought this when usual purchase was out of stock and pleasantly surprised. Is very smooth with no bitterness.
Not good for espresso
I used this in my espresso machine but it was weak and tasteless. Disappointed.
